We diagnose the root cause of reading struggles by assessing foundational skills like phonological awareness and phonics, not just vocabulary and comprehension.

Based on the assessment, we build a personalized roadmap — targeted word lists and decodable passages that close each student's specific skill gaps.

Instruction

We deliver student-led, video-guided structured literacy instruction — with exercises that drive measurable growth.

Grounded in How the Brain Learns to Read

Aligned with the Science of Reading, we use the Orton-Gillingham approach to make instruction accessible to students with specific learning differences. This approach supports the one in five students with dyslexia who struggle the most.

Our Story

Before The ReadMix was a curriculum, it was a way for a functionally illiterate high school kid to play with words and escape the boredom of not being able to access grade level text. This personal breakthrough became the blueprint for a literacy program built for students who learn differently, love creativity, and deserve lessons that meet them where they are.
